Yeah the verses/bridge are fantastic, some of my favourite Tim lyrics there

With the way things are going now this band is going to be around for another 30 years. Classic rock and making that b-sides/cover album has really influenced them. (I know a lot of that stuff is old but my point is still relevant). Tim can sing like that for decades more.

That's probably why In Flames made Siren Charms with so much singing. He won't be able to perform vocally a lot of older stuff in a decade or so.

Honestly I'm not a fan of their new stuff. It's weird, since punk isn't my thing and their more accessible stuff has always been my favorite. But aside from a few standouts I feel like a lot of their newer stuff is pretty bland. Although I did like Appeal to Reason enough to 3.5 I don't think I'd like it if I heard it today. Idk if their new album is better?

That's what my brother said, as well. I really didn't like the single, so I didn't even bother listening to the rest

I like Appeal a lot and sometimes I really enjoy Endgame, but sometimes I shit on Endgame too. Black Market doesn't even compare to most Rise Against in terms of quality and it's not even remotely punk anymore, even more of a departure from punk than the last couple albums. I don't think Black Market is great, but it's good for what it is supposed to be. A regular rock n roll album. Bruce Springsteen and Tom Morello seem to be more of an influence to Rise Against than any punk bands nowadays. The guitar work on Black Market is like nothing else from before.

Agreed. People Live Here is a fantastic track and you should jam that one toxin but you can safely skip the rest

The beginning of People Live Here sort of reminds me of 'Swing Life Away' lol

I don't think it's bad but I don't really like how high he sings

it's not as hard on his voice. he already said his voice has been going with age so this style is how it has to be. basically he says there is no style because he can't control how his voice sounds anymore including playing the older songs.

I only heard a few from Black Market. It seemed like they were sticking with the sound from the last two albums, so I didn't really want to bother with the rest.
