In other news, anyone thinks that they're gonna continue with this same formula for the next record? They seem to have found a niche to dog from.

This album rocks! i like all of green day's stuff, even with their change from fun to political (wich, the album's actually not!). And all those complaints about them being emotional, how the hell do you ecpect to get quality music without emotion?!? Without it, it's just a hollow, meaningless song! I think there's been emotion behind GD songs all along. And hey, ever think that GD just wanted to try something different from thier old sound? Come on, it's not like they've abandoned 1039, Dookie and Nimrod songs altogether!

Alright I just cleaned up 20 pages, and that was being conservative. AND that's after all the deleting that Med, Damrod, Jom and I have done over the months. Please try to self-moderate or I will have to hand out severe bannings the next time pages of stupid arguments or off-topic conversation spring up.

ok, Green Day, while their stuff may be catchy, do not show any signs of talent at all on this album. it is so boring to listen to, unless of course you like listening to 4 chords being played over and over again for four minutes. honestly this is one of if not the most overrated albums ever. i'm not saying they have no talent, but they sure as hell don't show it off at all.

Again, this isnt 'overratted trash'. Its Green Day evolving as each album progresses. But the style they have chosen to go with is to fit in with the 'in-crowd'. Honestly I think Reprise is in it to sell an image, not a band. Its hard to go into detail about it, but I'm just tired of seeing both sides of the bias perspective. Did it deserve to be nominated for Album of the Year? no... but then again did Gwen Stefani deserve it also? No.

Everyone needs to realize that if some knob posts a dumb comment thats bound to get deleted, responding to it is gonna give the mods twice as much work (perhaps more if multiple people respond).

Though the flaming is admittingly hilariously fun often of times, the majority of posts for this album and their content is getting wayy out of control.

And I understand the irony of me making a post criticizing the spam on here and simultaneously contributing to the very problem I'm talking about.

well, i'm just gonna say that im glad that alot of posts were deleted, i said some stupid stuff. this album seems to have turned fans away while attracting new fans. i was turned away, and odds are, their next album will turn fans away and attract new ones, just in greater proportions. i've personally lost all interest in green day.

i say green day is WAY overrated. all my friend love green day. but only the new stuff of couse. they are all obsessed and wear there green day shirts and think they are all cool and punk. and some accually are, but for others green day is the only music they listen to. it drives me insane. and made me dislike green day.
