I'd recommend starting with Perdition City, but this would certainly work

this is stylistically a bit closer to their bm stuff than perdition city

Yea it's got a bit of that aesthetic, but without the heaviness.

perdition city has recently become my favourite, but this is right up there with it.

This is quickly becoming my favorite Ulver. Messe is right up there and I dig the BM stuff, but wow this one is so great.

Best track on the album? It's hard to compete with Eos, but Let the Children Go and the climax of the title track....

Or the piano and horn in All the Love? So many awesome moments across this entire record.

Haha Talons. Yeah, I know. Sorry for the solitary circlejerk. I was just listening to this for the first time in a while. Got kind of excited, I guess.

Nice rating, btw. How would you rank the songs here?

Hey it's all good, sometimes solitary circlejerks are all we have. I actually thought you had been taking to a user maybe who got their comments wiped and permabbanned or something haha. I don't specifically remember every song at the moment, though the first two and last two blew my mind. Their cover of solitude is also outstanding, this and Bergtatt would definitely be my favorites
