The gimmicky weirdness totally ruins a potentially great album.
also their transition into a much more progressive and less heavy band adds another level of disappointment for me as none of the heaviness of Alaska seems present.
Alaska is a much more enjoyable album than Colors. It seems more natural, as in BTBAM didnt really have to try to make the music sound that way it just did. Colors however seems completely rigged and contrived and planned which makes the album feel fake.

White Walls is possible the best album closer I've ever heard. The song is so freaking epic and awesome. The last 4 minutes of the album right after he stops screaming WHITE WALLS, from that till end all music instrumental is the best ending to an album I think I've ever heard.
Every time I heard that last part I just wish it wouldn't end and that it could go on for a couple more minutes, but its perfect as it is.

You know, as much as I know you want to slap me for giving this a 3  White Walls is easily my favorite song on the album. I would give most of the tracks a 3 out of 5 that would match my overall rating, but White Walls would get a 5/5. This Message Edited On 04.02.08

White Walls is sooo good. Every second of that song is incredible. especially love that soft part where he sings softly "get out of this closed off circle" and the dischord breakdown. good stuff.
