I think the comparison is stupid too. always thought this had more in common with coalesce or zao, if anything, than botch. But to say this band is just aping another one of their contemporaries sells this album short of unique and distinctive it actually is

I was so blown away by finding out these guys were Christian when I was 14 because this album sounds evil. Instead of writing hopeful anthems about Jesus like underoath Josh scogin is writing laments for the dead. Apocalyptic dirges of a planet gone too far. "For all I care set this world all ablaze" this is fire and brimstone
