I took an Econ exam today and wrote an entire essay on monopolies based around GZA quotes.

It was awesome.

also id like to ask why the fuck do people listen to a single album by a band/artist and then never

check out the rest of their music. i get why you wouldnt if the album was only alright.

but it's like i see a 5/5 there man not a 3/5

also this isnt ranting at just you, just sputters in general

yeah that makes sense, since everyone praises this so highly. and i actually thought the cover was bomb as fuck haha.

the albums i find off-putting to check out out are ones named after or have to do with said album. like legend of the liquid sword (which is actually a great album, but the name just sounds like it's trying to bite off of the fame that is this)

GZA admits that liquid swords isn't his best as far as lyrics/rapping. thats where beneath the surface comes in

His flow is more interesting on Surface.

The beats are arguably slightly better here.

no, it's more upbeat and kind of a "fun" feel.

It's a lot brighter for sure. Doesn't take away from the quality of the album though; I've always thought it's as good as this.

Beneath the Surface is cool but Liquid Swords could PUKE on it. Liquid Swords I listen to more than any Wu Tang for sure.

Have you guys ever heard Legends of the Liquid Sword? Mega disappointing.
