also yeah, single is nice but imo it is not a good single to lead the album. anyway, since it is the album closer, I think it will work excellent as that
Can’t really make that statement until the entire album is heard, but I think it’s actually pretty solid as a lead single. But I am very intrigued with it being the closer as it doesn’t really sound like a closer. I truly feel like this album is gonna blow people away. Gore got the worst reception they’ve ever had in their careers. The Fire and hunger to redeem themselves Will propel this album.

I've never gotten the love for WHTY?. Chino sounds good on it, but the riffs are really repetitive.
Total brain fart on Rivière. I’m ashamed. But I completely agree that Rivière crushes WHTY—even though WHTY is very good.
I’d say—
Pink Maggit
Fireal
Rivière
WHTY
Rubicon
The rest (too lazy to rank them rn)

Rubicon is an amazing closer, yeah.
It's the middle portion of this album where it loses me a little bit.

I do agree that Pink Maggit is the GOAT Deftones closer though.
My man.
Is there even a question? Song is a masterpiece.

I don’t know man, Hearts/Wires is Track 5 and L(MIRL) is 8, two of the best songs. I think it’s just a bit inconsistent throughout. Like good song/great song, pretty good song, meh song repeat

Moana deserves a mention too.
See Moana is one of the songs I’m referring to when I say mediocre (Deftones standards) closers. It’s just kindof anti climactic, and ends the album with a “that’s it?” Doesn’t feel like the end of the album. But s/t is my 2nd fav Deftones.
This Place is Death — exact same critique.

As far as Ohms goes, obviously not enough listens to say yet, but I suspect it’ll land between Fireal and Rivière in my rankings.

Only thing is I know there will be moments I get pissed off listening to the new album knowing I probably won’t see these songs live for 6-9 months. Fuck YOU COVID!

Wow Morning, Fireal in last? Brilliant song — the only one that truly displays the variety and potential of the band. Basically, that’s the one song on the album that sets them apart as truly something special. In my opinion at least.

I like it a lot, so groovy and the production is quite the throwback.
