Yeah, but I just saw that to be a zoomer, which is an as of yet undefined denominator, the boundary is 1997 and above. I don't qualify for that, being from 1990. A true millennial, although these generation things are complete nonsense of course.

i don't mind his vocals but his involvement probably half-ruined this band for me in terms of how he affected their sound.
i also agree that harvest is a low point but i don't dislike it.

hmm Mikael was already into prog and influenced by Wilson to the extent that his involvement was probs more of a catalyst than anything else

My main gripe with Harvest is that it should have been only half as long as it is. And the vox again of course. It's a lovely melody for sure, but I think 6 minutes is stretching it.

Yeah same! I never feel that way for other tracks. For the others it usually enhances the effect of the separate passages, not so with Harvest. Although I do get what you mean Johnny haha, statements like these give the haters more ammo!

I feel that almost every Opeth has at least one song that could be sliced in half without detracting anything. This has *maybe* Harvest and the Funeral Portrait, say
