3.5/4 yes, 3.5/5, no ;)
"also fucking lmao stop acting like listening to "experimental" music is like some badge of honor"
I usually don't until other people (in this case Poly) try to bring up my taste in terms of experimentalism

Plus this conversation is waaaay more interesting than talking about A Moon Shaped Pool so I'm not sure why you're trying to kill it

Album Rating: 4.5
Or all of you who don't like this album that much could stop hijacking this thread and take the conversation to the thread of an actual experimental band.

Frozen Niagra Falls is a great winter album yeah

But the conversation sparked from literally talking about Radiohead and even began from talking about this album
Plus I don't hate this album, it's 3.5'd. People act like that means I actually think it's a 2 or something

This thread has just been a mixture of shitposting, off topic arguments, and pointless back-and-forths between the 3-3.5 crew and the 4+ crew for the past 6 months

I didn't say hate, I said don't like it that much, implying as compared to others
Plus the way y'all talk it does make it sound like you kinda hate it
I'm just saying it's been the same arguments over and over and it's gotten tiring and you're damaging Radiohead's average in the process :-P

This is more like a flaccid 4.2/4.3 but when I rate an entire discog I like to make my ratings as varied as possible
|
| |
I usually don't have much of a stomach for categorization/genre discussions but I do think Radiohead's interface with "experimentalism"/"experimental music" is pretty interesting. Maybe I'll post thoughts as I think about it more

Wait that was in reply to Boney saying this thread is shitposting and off topic stuff
|

Album Rating: 4.5
Not really every thread though
There has been more shitposting in this thread than in any other I've seen this year, excluding lists, which I don't mind being off topic.

See boney, the thing is, when your opinion is a generally less accepted one, even if it isn't extreme, people will often treat it as though it is.
In many cases, this will cause the person with the more controversial opinion to have to resort to sounding more convicted in their opinions to get their point across.
In other words, as much as I'd love to speak well of this album, everyone who has this rated higher than me already does that constantly so it seems more relevant to criticize the parts as don't like for the sake of variation
