DDD everytime i see you on other threads it makes me sad because it reminds me of Chino, who has been so quiet release-wise the last couple of years

It is incredible that back in the glorious prog rock years nobody would bought a fucking genesis album and now Tool is No 1 in the billboard charts.

"It is incredible that back in the glorious prog rock years nobody would bought a fucking genesis album and now Tool is No 1 in the billboard charts."

That's not even close to being true. The Brit prog bands did well for themselves in the UK. The first two KC albums broke into the top 5 and every Genesis album from Selling England by the Pound onwards made it into the top 10. Yes did really well on both sides of the pond with everything from The Yes Album to Drama making it into the top 10 in the UK and doing almost as well in the US.

I mean, none of them have been as successful as Tool (Lateralus, 10K and now FI have all made #1 in the US and done nearly as well around the world) but they did very well for themselves.

“Genesis have sold way more than tool. Tool haven't got a platinum album”

10,000 Days was platinum, Undertow and Lateralus were double platinum and Ænima was triple platinum.

Not saying they sold more than Genesis cause I don’t know the sales figures but maybe do some research before you say stuff

They had sold 3,000,000+ copies of Ænima sold by 2010, they were just a really fucking popular band tbh

Lolwut? Genesis has probably outsold Tool, but that's mainly because they've put out a lot more albums, all of which were in the pre-digital era, and all of their bestselling albums were their post Peter Gabriel albums.
