this album seemed very accomplished first run around but I got bored of the density quick. probably would be helped out on that front by multiple listens, might try again

stick with it robert, i had the exact same thought about Ulcerate on their earlier records. granted, this one hasn't grown on me like those ones have, but Ulcerate grows on you nonetheless

Ledd given your limited dabbling into dm, I'm surprised you dug the rest of their discog more. Typically it seems like this album hits those kind of ears first rather than their others, could be wrong tho

I was in a listening party on discord and played a track from this and a track from EIF. Despite this being more accessible, some people latched onto the bedlam of EIF more than the melodicism of this. All their stuff benefits from repeat listens but maybe it just ain't for Ledd (or 'Sona)?

I was just thinking that instead of, or rather before, listening to this again I might try out EiF...

If your hang up with this was the density then EIF will be less forgiving, but it's worth a shot. Destroyers is about as dissonant as EIF but leans a lot more on their post-metal stylings so that might be more your thing.

I can’t work out if it makes sense for me to prefer EiF/Shrines to this. Somebody help validate my taste. Cheers Sput.
