I was at a Super Bowl party tonight and there was a couple there I had never met but were clearly metal heads. I introduced myself and we went back and forth on bands we love with them specifically mentioning Acacia Strain and Every Time I Die. I asked them if they digged Meshuggah and they said….

“We’ve seen them at a few festivals. They were always a hard pass.” Couldn’t believe the response. Fuckin losers.

How they could be anything but a "hard pass" I have no idea.

When I saw them live at Hellfest the drums weren't only vibrating my ribcage but the show they put on was nothing short of extraordinary.

That’s basically what I thought. The conversation fizzled out and I was just thinking these people are kinda whack. Glad theyre metal heads at least but still whack.

Idk, I can see Meshuggah being boring for some, especially metalcore fans.

If they think Meshuggah is a hard pass I would be disappointed in them being metalheads lol.

Maybe they don't like the TAAAR BLAAAACK EJACULAAAAATE

“Meshuggah sucks but Acacia Strain is dope” just seems like an impossibly silly way to be.

I love Meshuggah and The Acacia Strain < 3

Honestly the dream is seeing Meshuggah play a hardcore fest just to watch people whoop on each other

Still one of the very best Meshuggah disks out there 💚

That bouncy elasticity of Marrow for instance, my goodness, you could hear it on repeat forever.

It was the grooves that hooked me. Particularly in the singles such as Don’t Look, Demiurge bridge, and Break those Bones.
