Guess it is all demographic. It's just strange to someone like me who doesn't live in the US. Although, I do know what I see in movies and in the news (like AC/DC being sued because of "Night Prowler", Harry Potter books being burned, etc.)

Some things about the US regarding this stuff still amaze me. I went through Miami airport in transit once and even in the short time there I heard things that would never have been allowed to pass here by ordinary people, let alone by the security officers who were saying it.

I can understand the idea the Christians are discriminated against in Europe (vaguely at least, considering I don't know a whole lot about Europe). It makes a lot more sense over there than it would here.

I'm talking about in real life. Some people even claim that Christians are the most discriminated against religion in this country, which is silly but it does tell a lot about how people feel these days.
No. Just no.

They're not discriminated against, things are just more equal here and islamophobia, racism etc are
quickly condemned when they do pop up and there's a constant battle to completely eradicate it.
Although it varies a lot from place to place. The UK is mostly pretty tolerant but there is still a
lot of racism in places like Italy, Serbia, Russia, even France. Just look at the post-Yugoslavia
conflicts in the 90s.
Even if this quiz isn't meant to be taken seriously it's still based upon careless stereotype of
complicated issues and it's that mentality which contributes to the problem.
No. Just no.
I don't understand.

top 10 fave albums. gotta admit though, i've played this WAY too many times. i probably won't be revisiting it anytime soon (did the same thing with since i left you)

It's so damn good because the lyrics are so real. I can relate to them and what Jesse writes like few other (if any) albums. That in itself is a major plus. The instrumentation is another thing; how it goes from being subtle and beautiful, to a full-throttled rage attack against what's being sung. Off the top of my head. I dunno. It just speaks to me like nothing else. When I write some of my own texts and lyrics, this is what I want to write (still, without copying or being too influenced by). When you have an album this close to you, it's hard to describe.

That sounded very fanboy-ish. Fuck.
Can't wait to see them live at Pukkelpop this August. Have never seen them (and they've never visited Denmark).

Yeah generally I don't care about lyrics in music but these ones get to me powerfully
Also the idea of something being "overrated" is silly. If that many people rate it highly, why would
one person overrule them all?
|
| |
Yeah, it's kind of a weird term. I guess it means, on Sputnik, that so little of the users who's rated the 4.6 and 4.5 albums on here 5 aren't really active anymore. But then again, neither are those who rated many albums a 1.5 or 2 (if the album are 5 years or older). But yes, it is silly. But everyone has an album they think is overrated, I guess

Its cool album but not classic to me honestly but well its subjective i think

Yeah, the lyrics aren't even all that "deep" or "illuminating" or what have you, the delivery, the focus, the atmosphere just makes the execution perfect.

I originally had this at a 3.5. Found the album very front heavy. But the second half is much more of a grower.
