Weighing them up this is the better of the two. Hard hitting as fuck at the first listen. Kid A was a bit of a head scratcher off the back of this.

Kid A is the more consistent and cohesive listen though. I almost never listen to this as a whole because it's so inconsistent.

Yep that is true Rowan and I bang on about hard hitting where How to Disappear has that one in the bag.

Yeah I'd argue that this is more consistent than Kid A

Fitter Happier

Karma Police

Electioneering

Are all very weak compared to the rest of this for me, and I find them all incredibly skippable. I couldn't skip a single song on Kid A.

Skipp-able doesn't equate to being Inconsistent

EDIT: The Bends is really inconsistent though

Really? Because I think having 3 songs out of 12 (that's a quarter of the album) that I don't really like makes it pretty inconsistent. Agreed about the Bends, although the good tracks on there are some of their best.

to me for an album to be inconsistent it has to be different and seem like they basically recorded two songs at different periods and decided to say fuck it and placed them together (eg. their best of album).
and I agree with The Bends, It's like they put all of their best songs on the first half and then put two of the many recognizable songs on the second half and called it a day.

This has no skippable tracks you twats, it's just perfect 5/5 song after perfect 5/5 song (plus Electioneering). Kid A is the more cohesive album, but on a track for track basis this has it covered

Fitter Happier obviously is filler.

Electioneering and Karma Police aren't skippable.

The album's most skippable tracks are probably Subterreanean and Lucky, but they're still great

amnesiac is also pretty inconsistent but that's basically Kid A 2.0 so I don't even need to rate it.
