My favorite version of that song is the SNL perform but it's censored and then there was this other live performance that began and ended with this "I always knew they'd try to bring me down" verse that had DJ scratches and had a primarily piano instrumental. I just tried my best to combine the best of both worlds with the polish and bass of the studio track. Probably still needs some more work tho

i think you can actually take the lyrics seriously, in some weird post-ironic twist. a lot of today's art is beautiful because it's ugly and it's good because it's bad. i listen to some danny brown rapping about a bitch sucking his dick and the song is great but really, he's not a dumb kid but this is what he chooses to rap about, wtf
in the past even when the avant-garde came along and produced a lot of silly pieces a la 4'33" despite the content being no content there was beauty behind it, or at least a search for beauty. today we *choose to* create shitty art and i don't know why i complain as i enjoy a lot of it (this album being a nice example) but it's almost kinda scary i dunno i wanna fuck you hard on the sink kanye????
