I like this more than In Rainbows, even if I think IR is a better 'album'

I really hope Radiohead's next album is weird as shit to make up for this

Because that's exactly what most fans want, King of Limbs part 2. Right.

I mean who cares what the fans want?

Radiohead has been actively trying to get weirder since Kid A, but the annoying fans who think The Bends is their masterwork keep holding them back

That's it though for me

crucify me, but I think okc is overrated and the bends is dated hard.

I mean you're probably right, but this album makes me have my doubts

I know that Thom and Co. hardly play songs from The Bends in concert anymore

'Radiohead has been actively trying to get weirder since Kid A, but the annoying fans who think The Bends is their masterwork keep holding them back '

that isn't true, I think In Rainbows was them becoming actively 'less weird' again

Kid A and Amnesiac are the only two albums I'd say are getting close to unconventional for the genre, band and in general

I don't think weird always means good, but it does help an album be even better :D

KoL really isn't that weird besides Feral. a different sound for Radiohead but still pretty accessible

Bloom's pretty damn weird honestly and Little By Little honestly too

King of Limbs is pretty predictable if you'd digested all their previous output and it isn't all that weird really, it was EXACTLY the album I expected from them after In Rainbows. I'd say this album is stranger in that it has an atmosphere that's harder to nail down and it's their least predictable 'next step' since Computer to Kid A

Hail to the Thief is just messy, I guess messy could equate to weird in a 'isn't it weird this great band have slipped up a bit' way
