Oh man, was really hoping that Kendrick/Andre track produced by Kanye was real.
And yeah I believe Kanye can do it, but I'm less confident in Kanye wanting to, infering from like almost everything Kanye has done this decade besides like "Gorgeous". I don't see stuff like his "That part" verse, although awesome, meshing with what I'm sorta expecting the album to sound like (if he even is on the album now lol).

I don't care if for if he goes full jazz or not, the genre or style is not what determines my appreciation of the album, it's way beyond that. It could sound like this or GKMC or literally anything else, he could come up with some inventive, groundbreaking sounds, but it's really down to his storytelling and delivery for me.

I know that I'll be the odd guy out here but I don't see this album in the same light that the vast majority of listeners do. The production is absolutely top-tier and Kendrick's talents from a writing standpoint are on full display but I don't think that this is an accessible album from a casual listener's standpoint. For me, it's honestly difficult to listen to. I have really tried to enjoy this album and I've given it many listens but I just cannot "enjoy" it. To each their own, and I can respect what this album stands for, but I can't justify this as more than a 3.
