This album is boring to me and Enemy of the Sun is not boring to me. I don't think I can elaborate further. Also this album doesn't have anything like Cleanse, which I unironically love.

'hahaha What do you mean? Whats to do? You would'nt give a band more than 2/3 5s in a discog just because its the same band? That ridiculous. Its either a 5 or its not surely regardless if you've aready dropped a few classics or not. Thats absolutely mental reasoning.'

I think you took my comments too literally... of course I COULD do that, in theory, but when my favourite band has 3 5s the threshold is obviously high. I just don't give out many 5s.

'I like the samples on Enemy of the Sun, and the songs are mostly faster paced. This is long, drawn-out, boring.'

I swear these 2 comments don't seem compatible, so you're saying the slower pace of this album is boring but you love Cleanse, which is slow and the way that song ends is absurdly repetitive.

I maintain EOTS is their least 'complete album' (save the last 2), it just feels slightly unfinished, although perhaps it was a necessary backwards step after the underrated TWIL and revolutionary Souls. Like deathschool said, it feels like a template to this in many ways.

Enemy of the Sun is just more interesting to me.

EOTS is easily my least favourite of their golden run but tbh that album is arguably heavier than this one

This doesn't have anything as intense as Lexicon apart from the last minute of Locust Star imo

DONT CRAWL SEEK HIS BURN OF WAR!!!

Whats heavyier than that section. Come on. I get the feeling Getlow sees 'heavy' as 100 mph riffing. As is clear in the EOTS thread

For some reason (and the main reason I'm probably gonna have to drop to 4.5 at some point :[ ) the end of the t/t have never hit me as much as everyone else. Strength of Fates is a powerhouse track though

The mixing and or mastering hurts my ears. Might be their best conpositionally, but not in production imo. Sometimes the songs straight up hurt to listen to after the first couple minutes.

That said... still rules
