Individually some of the songs are a little lackluster, but as one complete listen it's pretty much flawless

Just traded in this LP, unplayed, for $15.

Why the fuck didn’t you sell it to me.

idk, because I was immediately able to use that $15 toward another record?

questionable
Not surprising at all that this sells for cheap tho. I’d prefer it if this general masses forgot about brand new, just not me personally

Yeah, it was a double LP so I expected to get at least $20, but I just had no interest in keeping it. Saw a new trade come in- something I wanted, but didn't want to pay full price. RIP.

This is probably their best album but is the cover supposed to be Jesse Lacey’s captives jumping out of his apartment window

Album has always felt to me like Deja Entendu at night. It takes that more melodic approach while both mellowing and creeping it out. There's something uncannily symmetrical about listening to Deja during the afternoon and then spinning Science Fiction late at night. Just feels right. Or maybe I'm nuts.

Check the tdag thread. That's where all the fun is happening rn

Yeah that feels pretty accurate Sowing... Science Fiction is undoubtedly a night record when I'm in the mood to put it on.

I don't have the mental energy to expend on that right now.
Like, support the band or don't - either way it's your prerogative and there's no sense in projecting your support/boycott onto others.

not to condone the use, but I find the best way to listen to this album is tripping LSD. I kinda label this album psychedelia

"I kinda label this album psychedelia"
wut

I guess it's not traditional psychedelia, but it sure is trippy. Lit Me Up is the best example, but the tasty layers on never be heaven and batter up seem to have psychedelic tinges too. Its rooted in hardcore but nearly every song has a psychedelic moment.
not to mention the fact that the science fiction genre of writing is known for its psychedelic inspiration
