"Frusciante is underrated."
Was thinking this while relistening. I didn't appreciate how good he is.

Yeah. He's one of those weirdly technical guitarists who you don't think is all that technical and then you try and play something of his and you end up with a hand cramp.

I sure hope he didn’t get banned for posting suicidal thoughts, that would be incredibly fucked up

I have no clue why he got banned, and certainly wasn't implying that was the reasoning behind it. I'm sure he merely pissed the wrong person off, I'm just saying the ban was counterintuitive.

He did say a lot of ??? shit

Right, but exactly what is wrong with that? He also said a lot of funny shit, hence the MJK account.

We all assume he's reading along right?
Hi Aiwaz! This is real. We are manifest spiritual entities talking about you through ancient symbols.
That's all anyone could hope for, really.

Always thought of frusciante as a less is more type of guitarist. Thats what I like most about his playing

Unless he offed himself when he realized he'll never be able to rate the new Tool album. That's right mod(s), your petty power-trip may have cost a man his life.

He finds the pockets for sure. Definitely weaves around whatever it is Flea is playing, but I wouldn't call him minimalistic. And he's as nimble as anyone when he wants to be.

"Instrumentally they work very well as a funky alt rock band, but their vocalist ruins 90% of their material."
I can't imagine any other kind of vocal style working with RHCP. Keidis may not be a great vocalist, but his voice is a rhythmic instrument just like the other guys and they're all locked into the groove.

I miss Aiwaz. We were so excited to go on a rap binge for a few weeks starting on 4/20 like last year ;-;

You asked for it: Frusciante really came into his own starting with Californication, the first album he did with RHCP in 8 years and really a nice turning point for the band as a whole; their music became more polished and the lyrics less hedonistic. The band members were going through/overcoming addiction, growing older, and starting families over that general time period and the music became more multi-dimensional and the lyrics more reflective as a result.
This meant Frusciante got more adventurous and creative in the band's new phase, consisting of the very solid albums Californication, By the Way, and Stadium Arcadium. "Dosed" in particular has like 5 guitar tracks all playing different melodies, it's such a beautiful song and floors me every time I listen. Any open minded rock music fan who isn't into the band should at least give that song a try if they haven't.

I miss him too, I hope he's doing ok. I have no way to contact him since we didn't talk much outside sput. Something something free speech, something something second chance.

He's alive if that's what you're wondering. I have him on discord and in his chat he just posts like metal song links or whatever. Think he said he was gonna quit the site altogether idk

Adam has a new toy and it will most likely be a part of some of the new material this tour. I hope to see you all in the flesh, this is one of the best tours we have ever been a part of. Anyhoo, if you all could stop the negative posts on my twitter account that would be much appreciated. Thanks.
