If you could sum everything wrong with the mentality of some metal fans, then this is absolute perfection. No no no, we need harder, faster, mOaR diSSo… etc. Complete bollocks. Death write great songs. They don’t require the damn novelty of hitting these ‘extremes’ (you unfairly expect of them) in order to make their music enjoyable.

Agreed. What an utterly stupid take, equating abrasiveness with quality. Most brutal and dissonant dm bands could not even dream of making one song with the level of songwriting prowess of Death

When he says "CALLED INNOCENCE!" I actually misheard it as cum into socks rather than coming. Went back and jammed the track to see if it still sounds that way to me these days and man it made me realize that I really need to throw this album back into rotation. It was my favorite Death record when I was first discovering the band but I played it an insane amount back then and took a step back from it for quite awhile now
