Best discog of all time tbh, no other band has been this consistent for this long. And even tho Halo is my least favorite that avg on here is shameful. It’s a solid record.

I hate to say it, considering the band themselves can’t even pull it off live, but Wretched World might be their best song ever. That performance with Chelsea is fucking unreal

They just need to get together with Genghis Tron and then they can perform Wretched World in all of it's glorious beauty. The Chelsea performance was great too though.
Also, I agree with your top 3 ranking

I know man, shit like this makes me think there might be a god.
I’ve stopped myself from reading any reviews but one thing I do know is that one of the last three tracks is a little “experimental” for them. Which is kinda what I expected, all of the final three tracks push right up against the 5 minute mark, prerelease interviews made it seem like this was just gonna be a half hour of pure fury but I’m not at all shocked to find out that Gilded Cage or Make Me Forget You is a little out there for them. Hoping for an “Eve” style track.
Also I’m done listening to either of the new tracks, I want the whole thing to feel fresh come Thursday night.
I can’t fucking believe new Converge is nearly here, obv we got Bloodmoon but it’s still absolutely wild we haven’t had a “proper” album from these boys in damn need a decade.
And I’ve said it til I’m fucking blue in the face, but I know for a fact that at least Ben and maybe even Jacob let it slip that there was originally like 20 songs written. The dream would be for them to drop something this week and then maybe in a few months drop another record a la SOAD’s Mesmerize // Hypnotize. Hopefully like, bare minimum, we get some kind of b side compilation. Caring and Killing & Unloved and Weeded Out both have some killer tracks. Plus they did that Beautiful Ruin 7” not long after The Dusk in Us, and I’m preeeeeety sure those were B sides.

Can’t wait. I jammed the first song a couple times and loved it. Stoked to dive into the full thing

One thing that makes me think well at least get some extra songs at some point this year is that they played a track called Doom in Bloom on their last tour, and obviously that’s nowhere to be found on the tracklist. Unless they renamed it, which I honestly doubt, there’s definitely more music ready to go… at least I hope

Eh whatever. I still have Bloodmoon to fall back on, if this mostly barnburners I’m cool with it

I have a confession. I've never really been able to get into Converge. Maybe the new album is a good excuse for a proper discog run.

Start with All We Love We Leave Behind. Definitely one of their most accessible and one of their best imo
