It was a bit different, but since the first 3 tracks slayed so fucking hard I was open to more experimentation in the back half. And wow Kaiwz, I had no idea you were cold on this record.

Yeah, I remember it getting quite some flak upon release. Hex particularly was under fire, something I've never understood.
Album has become one of their better ones over the years. Deserves some love so all these high scores make me happy.

Well you are right about Porcelain Heart being pretty bad but almost everything else on this is banging. I always prefer Opeth without Per but some of his stuff on this is nutty.
