Alex, everyone in the thread in the aftermath of the Chiefs win was like "the NFL just wants to see the same teams in the super bowl every year" and "why do people even watch, congrats on the threepeat" and "they make more money off eagles chiefs than bills commanders" I was just assuming that meant both teams were rigged to get in.

I think both teams are stronger than the last super bowl so yeah, should be a good game. LightandGlass, I was kind of thinking that and then I took a look at who they won with last time and was like fuckkk hahah. They had Toney, MVS and a younger JuJu. Worthy, Hollywood, and Hopkins are all better. Plus Juju somehow had two big plays Sunday and Gray has been decent this year too lol. Eagles D and Fangio is a lot more shutdown than bend don't break Gannon and that secondary though, thankfully.

Yeah our defense is dramatically better than last time. We knew Gannon sucked and his defense got obliterated by some scrub receivers. The Chiefs have better receivers this year than then but Hopkins is well past his prime and Hollywood hasn't exactly lit the league on fire this year. Thing is Mahomes could win with D3 college receivers because he's that good and Andy knows how to scheme people open, especially Kelce.

I worry that Jalen is going to struggle with the blitz and holding on to the ball too long and we don't have Jake Elliott to make clutch long distance kicks anymore. Just hoping our defense can give them hell this time since they were neutralized by the shitty field 2 years ago, which left our bad secondary exposed.

hmmmmm i feel like while the chiefs have better skill position players on paper today... the 2022 offense was wayyy more effective and explosive. their defense is quite a bit better than in 2022 tho.

same story with the eagles really. they have saquon now obv, but they were already a really good rushing team in 2022, and their passing offense isn't anywhere near what it was. having a #1 defense has seemingly made up for that.

think this matchup favors the chiefs tbh. they just do not make mistakes on offense and feel like spags is gonna eat hurts alive if they get a lead. they badly need saquon to break some big runs. hurts played a near perfect game vs the chiefs last super bowl but he hasn't shown he's anywhere near capable of that since.

The Eagles had a good run game in 2022 but Sanders and Gainwell did nothing in the Super Bowl. Those two had 37 total rush yards last time around and Saquon is a completely different beast. If the Eagles can control the clock and Hurts makes the throws he needs to they can win the game. Hurts shouldn't have to try to Superman the team to a win like he did last time. He's had games like that since (the Bills game last year) but he's playing much differently this season with focusing on protecting the ball instead. It can make for some frustrating drives but he's not a turnover machine like he was previously.

Saquon deserves the Super Bowl more than almost any other player involved in this years SB. Giants fans will be suicidal if he rushes for like 150yd/2TD and wins. also he is devilishly handsome.

I went to Penn State and had season tickets when Saquon was there. We'd fantasize about him being on the Eagles but him actually ending up in Philly and having the season he is feels unreal. Would be incredible to cap it with a Super Bowl victory. This is the first year I've ever seen Saquon have a line that can block for him and he's making the most of it.

I hope there's a way that both teams lose. Maybe it'll be a tie and then Taylor Swift and Kelce's mom will fall 5 stories and break their necks forcing them to cancel the rest of the game.
