Devin Townsend vibes? Never heard that one before and don't really understand at all, but hey, as long as its intended positively.
Great stuff indeed.

Well that was a disappointing first listen.... I mean the hype around this album is pretty big so I was expecting it to be even
crazier than Never for Ever. Maybe it just needs more listens, but I just wasn't feeling it as much.
Plus there was this weird vocal style where Kate sounded hoarse. Well it's only in 2 songs.
Still had some pretty cool songs on it though.
EDIT: decided to listen to this a second time today and it's much better. Bumped it from a 3.5 to a 4. Still those weird hoarse
moments are um...

It's not a 5 for me though and only my 3rd favorite Kate Bush, sorry.

It's not her prettiest, but it's definitely her most experimental. Thought you'd eat it up, Ars!

I mean I love most of it, but I'd argue that the vocal style in "Pull Out the Pin" and "Houdini" where it sounds like she's
hoarsely gasping for breath is hideous sounding and really kind of ruins both songs. Especially since it's really persistent in
"Pull Out the Pin."
The other 8 songs are great though. Even if Kate Bush's fake Australian accent in the t/t is corny at times...

haha yeah t/t is weird but amazing. I think my favorite song is "Sat in Your Lap." How about them hee-haws in "Get Out of My House"?

I actually love the hee-haws in "Get Out of My House" and "Sat in Your Lap" is probably the 2nd favorite on here after
"Leave It Open."
:P

I can't decide whose house to get out of first: Kate Bush's or J. G. Thirlwell's.
Such a hard decision.
