The experimental tag on Poppy's page is very apt, especially for Negative Spaces and this album, completely game changing and revolutionary bodies of work

Don't really think that "game changing" or "revolutionary" are accurate to describe Poppy's work, let alone this album. She's obviously talented and has highly enjoyable albums and she's quite experimental and genre-shifting when it comes to her output. But I wouldn't say her work is revolutionary, really; she's just an artist with obvious love for pop and metal stylings (and a knack for mashing the two) and continually gains traction as one of the leading forces in modern pop-metal and metalcore, which is cool (!) but not like singular or "unlike anything else out there"

But really happy you're enjoying this @Verdr — you're obviously seeing something in this that I'm not (and this isn't growing much at all to me)

Are the revolutionary bodies of work in the room with us right now?

Nah magazines says she pushes boundaries so it must be right. What the hell does a user on sputnik know compared to a magazine anyway, they have the real knowledge right?

I'm a Poppy fan but even I wouldn't call anything of hers "revolutionary." I do think there's been times in her career where you could argue she pushed some boundaries, but certainly not with her recent stuff.

I could see it being a lot more impressive if you are only exposed to mainstream metal
