I've been observing your country is so polarized and messed up since the 2010s that most of you can't accept any differing opinion. You all have been brainwashed to the point of hating or bullying anyone who has a different perspective, and that applies to people on every front inside the current "political spectrum", which is ridiculously sad tbh. The softer parts are actually what I don’t vibe with here. I dig most of the heavier focused tracks. But again, a lot of that is because of Carson’s cleans.
But that’s the beauty of this no? Different aspects are appealing to different folks in various ways and that’s awesome. I’m sure that’s exactly what they want in their tunes too

Yeah I’ll never understand the appeal of this style of singing where they over enunciate every syllable and take tons of liberties like slapping on vocal fry. It’s metal, stop trying to impress people with your fancy singing and just focus on melody

To me this is hardly metal and more post hardcore. Weirdly enough the more melodic stuff is what works for me best here. He stepped up his vocal chops hard and it doesn't come off as overly produced like a lot of big names in the genre

I actually like this more in part because I think the softer parts are better here than they are on their previous record and they make the heavier parts, although fewer, hit farrrr harder - at least for me

Right there with you Animal. I'm a defender of a lot of braindead/tough guy beatdown hardcore myself and I totally get why people wouldn't like it. It's so much easier to ignore the haters and just talk about music you love!
