It's great. I wanted to buy a hoodie from the European website but they weren't ready also. I prefered the press bill with purple and black. As opposed to black and white. The hoodie was just b&w. I get why though. Color cartridges, still cost a lot on the Computer. My sarcasm aside. What a great release.

Is it haram for me to say I think this is the best Cure album?
Endsong would be a great way to close out their career, but apparently they have enough material for another release... hope they go out with a bang

Top 4 Cure at least for me, and then a big gap to number five.

Recency bias is certainly a thing, but I confidently gave this a 5 and see no reason to ever change it. It's going to be timeless and pretty much perfect forever. I did hear too that this album was so successful they want to put out more songs they already had which eh why not. I thought BloodFlowers was incredible and then became a sorta lapsed fan I didn't really like the next two albums (I didn't give them much of a chance, but they felt disjointed). I barely heard any of that Dream album tbf.

Recency bias is not a thing when it comes to singing the praises of a modern classic.

I guess just for society even sports, some times the "best thing ever" is the best thing for a day or two. This masterpiece will be great for years. I actually didn't think it would be that good. I love Depeche Mode or similar artists. I feel like I needed to hear that newer Depeche Mode album, again because it certainly wasn't bad but it didn't hit the highs this did so quickly after just a play or two.

Orbital, Daniel Avery, Trentmoller and Chino - are all sensibly restrained re-workings very respectful of the originals. The rest is pretty forgettable. In particular for me - Trentmoller’s And Nothing is Forever is worthy as I can’t abide the original on the album and the one track that prevents me giving the albums 4.5 or 5.0. At least now I can slip this remix in and no longer lose out on a song

“Recency bias is not a thing when it comes to singing the praises of a modern classic.”
I mean it absolutely is whether you think this is the dog’s bollocks or not. It’s happened so many times I’ve lost count (been guilty of it myself in the past). We cannot know what time will do to any release a mere 7 months in

“Modern classic” is an oxymoronic joke term anyway considering time is a necessary component of defining a “classic”.

It’s emotionally loaded, cannot be revisited too often. As for many of them classics.

Yep...a classic for me too. Took me a while, but every single song is uniquely brilliant.
