New Pyrrhon is better than this.
Not that they're similar in any way/shape/from aside from very generically both being 'metal' but I guess I am just shocked that album doesn't seem to be getting nearly as much praise/attention.

"Nah, Jester doesn't seem the type. Is it really that unbelievable?
and what would the point of lying be exactly?"
I said that he works in a metal record label than LOL.
It is unbelievable, most watched BI video has less than 400K views on YT, metal STILL IS a pretty much underground genre, even stuff like Steel Panther is pretty much underground all in all, let alone Death Metal, and let alone a Death Metal record that incorporates psychedelic prog wankery and dad rock shenanigans like this one...
This kind of music is mostly listened to in western countries, and you need to subtract mediterranean and caribbean countries off that list... (yeah I know, Brasil has metalheads, Iran surely has metalheads too FFS, but they don't amount to a considerable % of the population, not even enough to have a sampling size for statistical purposes).
The point would be convincing everyone here that BI is mainstream LMAO... which is obviously not, maybe Jester gets a hard-on when his point is proven right, the fuck would I know?
Either way, I'm adding this one to 1million things that never happened.

"It is unbelievable"...
I don't think so. Probability is a thing. No not every co-worker will know who these guys are. Maybe very few will(?) but I do not doubt it happened. Call me naïve if you like.

are you really? Lets be clear, Pyrrhon's latest would be my (albeit non-comparable) preference too, but these guys already had a more wide-reaching demographic and they have arguably expanded upon that with a greater emphasis on their prog influences. Ultimately creating something with a hell of a lot wider appeal than Pyrrhon's quite niche sound
I am FAR from surprised
need to check that band Ega, been meaning to for a while now

@Piripichotes What the fuck man lmao
I was making a joke about it but yes my coworker actually asked me if I’d heard of them because he likes a decent amount of metal, his taste is more normie than mine but he said he saw Mike Portnoy post about the new album.
I used to have another coworker that liked a lot more black and death metal too. Corpsegrinder shopped at my local Target like every day for a week. A dude I regularly see at the gas station always compliments my metal shirts. I met an older couple once and the wife was wearing a Nocturnus shirt. I live in Florida so maybe we have a denser metalhead population than wherever you are but I don’t think it’s that weird. It’s not like an everyday occurrence but it’s happened plenty of times

This just in, guy discovers that people outside of a very small website HAVE heard metal bands

'Woah tec. I'm just shocked that you don't mention the new ORANSSI PAZUZU.'
I am sensing sarcasm here in the form of offering up an even arguably more ""obscure"" band but on the very slight off-chance you were being sincere, I just haven't checked the album yet (will get around to it soon tho).
To Demon's point, it is not just possible but highly likely that I am completely out of touch with where artists would rank on a gradient ranging from 'household name' to 'lol who?' - this is certainly the case for most genres but likely tenfold for metal. I guess I either underestimated BI's popularity, overestimated Pyrrhon's, perhaps both, perhaps I didn't even really have a legitimate point to make in the first place. What do words even mean

"@Piripichotes What the fuck man lmao"
BRO LMAO...
My guess is you live in Tampa then, maybe even Orlando...
Lived in Miami myself for 7 yrs. Most horrible place on earth, I don't get how TF do people live there, and enjoy it, I guess it's the same kind of ppl that love to go to Dubai on vacation.
My sis lived in Tampa (Clearwater) for a couple of years and we would visit her often, loved the vibe, and the scene.
Miami had this little latin american club, that would play salsa every weekend, and people would shoot each other and shit in the parking lot LMAO, but every thursday they would have a metal band in the evening. Saw some small melodeath and tech death Tampa bands there, there were like 20/30 ppl on average attending this concerts, and this was like the only metal venue in Miami, and like I said, it was named "Kafé Krystal" and it was tacky AF, and it was a salsa club. LOL
Hence my skepticism. My apologies bro.

It offers a better cosmic journey than this mainstream cruise.

“Hence my skepticism. My apologies bro.”
It’s ok lol. I’m like 30 minutes outside of Tampa, haven’t been to a show in awhile but I’ve seen quite a few rad ones here. Saw Blood Incantation twice, in 2018 and 2019

i live in the middle of nowhere and randos always compliment my Beneath The Remains shirt in public. I forget that Sepultura is like, a popular band actually lol.

If the vocals were replaced with Tommy Rogers, I'd be convinced this was a BTBAM album

Maybe if there was bluegrass and honky tonk on this but I don’t remember hearing that
