i don't remember when i joined exactly, within the last six months tho, and i'm not super active anyways... but i totally didn't want to join based on past experience with the other servers and totally thought people were on there talking shit about me because i always post paragraphs of stupid shower thoughts and junk up the nfl/nba threads here and pots was just like nah bruh it aint like that and i joined and its been a pretty fun extension of this site i think. ctrl + f zero results.
think generally if you get into a few arguments or get clowned for saying some stupid shit once or twice on here you can get the sense that people hate you and find you annoying etc. (especially if it happens not long after you joined) but in reality most people aren't really thinking that deeply about it. especially when we've all been on this site together for manyyy years already feel like most modern users are generally accepting of everyone just on the basis of being a member and contributing to this forever eternal forum.

humans are sensitive and our brains aren't really designed to tell the difference between online and real life discourse. things said online can feel just as real as if they are said straight to your face which is just an unfortunate flaw in our programming tbh. ultimately the goal for everyone is to be able to compartmentalize online beef and throw it in the furnace but it's easier said than done. i applaud anyone who can be so nonchalant about it because it's truly a great coping skill.
