Wanted to like the new album more, but it's pretty repetitive/static even for Godflesh standards. Not the most memorable riffs/grooves or standout moments, but definitely a creepy/hopeless atmosphere throughout.
i love the sound. my problem with purge's production is that it didn't serve the vibe the album was going for. But in Decay the production is always making everything sound alien, rotting and distorted beyond recognition. Less bops and more schizo doomy industrial. Decay is similar to Post Self in this aspect. i really like it a lot.
