hey thanks for the concern normal. i take breaks from this hellsite regularly, I just came back for the ST discourse because I wanted somewhere to talk about it. But when people are asserting that the people that inspire me are "exploiting" me, it really doesn't inspire confidence. Either I'm a victim of their exploitation or I'm carrying on their legacy of exploitation by writing...or maybe the people accusing are being dipshits. lol

Jokes aside, I'm not really surprised by the discourse on here. Sleep Token have always had a pretty polarizing reception tbh

'The absolute implication that Marxists as a whole agree on literally anything lmfao'

Where did I say this? All I said is that 'capitalism' started a lot earlier than any Marxists says it did. Show me a Marxists who thinks capitalism started as early as 600ad?

i think it's funny that there's an honest to god capitalism vs socialism debate here because someone here doesn't wanna admit capitalism is fundamentally broken and flawed :^)

Jesus christ the fuck happened in here in the span of 3 hours.

Everyone calm the fuck down and chill out remember its AN ALBUM it is a product or piece of work that YOU YES YOU PERSONALLY will connect with or YOU WONT. Whatever your take on this is it has nothing to do with your political views as this album has no poltical standings either. Remember not everyone will share your view on this record or in general but respect each others views.

I didnt comment on my intial thoughts on some of the tracks as i had read some people had found a connection to them and I didnt want to take away from that. Also i think people are taking Johnnys review and shit stirring a tad too on the nose.

Venin please take a break from this Sleeptoken thread in particular its devolved into shit flinging. It wont be good for anyone to continue this crap

Flawed? Sure. Broken? Nope, how can a system that increasingly feeds the world be called broken? Can more be done? Of course but the system can't go from 0 to 100 overnight and there are still vast swathes of the earth with difficult geographies that are underdeveloped. It took Europe over a thousand years to develop and we're now trying to fast track the rest of the world you have to give it time.

@Ectier: Point noted.

@Groundking: idk maybe how it's being used to siphon funds into the hands of a few people while neglecting everyone else?

This is like Meshuggah and Bastille attempted to have a baby and then decide on abortion, only for the abortion to fail, and then the baby grows up to be Young Thug

'idk maybe how it's being used to siphon funds into the hands of a few people while neglecting everyone else?'

If we were actually neglecting everyone else why is the African population not starving to death right now? You know that Africa imports 85% (IIRC) of its food right?
