Strange, I thought that was one of their best songs. Oh well, I still need to listen to the rest of the s/t

I didn't care for III overall but I feel like Marigold was a great track. It's still active in my progcoredjentfuckit playlist.

This review is so far up its own ass they are cleaning their teeth with it. Album is decent do not know why Periphery is hated so much on this site, especially from the Staff. Album is better then P3 for sure and Wildfire is a FANTASTIC song, the fact you put it under terrible is kind of telling....

I enjoyed the record, i think Spencer is his best here and it's overall a fun listen.

My favorite Spencer album is still Hail Stan but he does have some killer moments on this. The vocal writing on Hail Stan is just next level good.

1.5??? I know music is subjective, but this is such a bad faith review. You aren't even trying to hide your bias and write a fair review, which was bloated and tedious to get through btw. Even if you don't care for the songs, the technicality of the music itself warrants at least a 2 or 3 rating.

technicality don't equate to good songwriting
also all reviews are biased by definition
poor ol' sponce's back must be breaking from hard-carrying the clown squad he's been ill-starred to be a member of

Ah yes, a 1 from Pikazilla, now everything is balanced

yep, that just about covers it. incredible how these two points elude half of the people in this thread

the haters finally giving spencer his props is not something i saw coming with this new album lol
this band is like the reverse of the tmnt meme

I somewhat agree, but these songs aren't nearly as bad as suggested. It bothers me that a newbie will see this and possibly not check out this album or the band's catalog based on a review like this. This review pops up about 6 or 7 links down on a Google search for reviews. Anyway, just my take. I'm not trying to stir up anything.

not sure about everyone else but I've always felt sponce has been the strongest part of the band
misha and the drummer can go fuck themselves though, they write some of the most uninspired shit even by djent standards

You really don't like this band lol. Matt is one of my favorite drummers, his style is so dynamic and tasteful imo. I've spent many late nights on my electronic kit learning his stuff over the years.
Misha is alright, but Mark is brilliant.

Spencer sounds great as always but I wasn't really sure about some of his choices of melody here. Namely with Wildfire.

Yeah that might be the one.
Idk, you said this wasn't unique, so I'm just wondering what songs sounded like that.
