The beat on Mirror is just great. Melodic but not cheesy, just sounds good and flows well

Woop back up to a 3.6 avg because that’s exactly what I’d give this album.

i was so fucking stoked after 3 tracks and then die hard just fell right off a cliff

Deleting this off the phone. I dont want no part of this cookie cutter weak production anymore. Shit sounds like migos is about to hop on it at any givin time or kendrick is about to start crooning and turn into drake or something. What hip hop has come to.

Need to relisten...dare I say this album is too long? Not sure yet but love a few songs and he's really an amazing storyteller so the vibes / settings he builds are great to experience but there's a definite lack of """bangers""" idk

And there's so much to digest that it's hard to keep up with it right away. I've listened to it 2 times and I'm still in a very lost state.

I often feel like Nas should have saved his Hip Hop Is Dead album for release a week after whatever Coltons favorite young thug album is.

Hip hop is alive and well in the underground. Its typically not the mainstream bullshit. That's what drew ppl to kendrick to begin with in the beginning he brought the real hip hop spirit back to the mainstream and had a message. Now the man went to commercial for his own good. He can still spit and is better than most of his peers in the scene but this ain't it.

So, is Mother I Sober one of Kenny's best songs or is Mother I Sober one of his best songs? Gotta respect him for getting THAT personal.

As a big fan of Gibbons I personally found it incredibly unremarkable Tbqh

Way too much filler on this album, the second half is incredibly inconsistent. Out of 18 songs I'd probably say 5 to 6 are pretty good / great. I really hated GOD. on DAMN and a fair few of the songs on here gave me the same eye rolling distaste.
