This album gets better and better with every listen. I am also really looking forward to their next tour and setlist. So many amazing songs to choose from throughout their career

Golly gee, this thing rules. I'm in the camp that they've never put out a bad album, but this is just so much more exciting than anything they've put out in a loooong time.

I’ve put this on 3 different times and could only make it about 1/3 of the way through each time. maybe someday i’ll be able to slog through all of it.

Can confirm this is not a slog.

Yeah, didn't really feel like a slog.

"Fuck it but this is a 4'5. Sincerely I love this album"
Yeah this is something special. They really hit the nail on the head with this one. My only complaint is I'd move "Sickle and Peace" as the last track of the first half. Otherwise is almost perfect.

Honestly the closer is the only track I'm yet to be convinced with

Haven't sat and actually listened to a full Mastodon album in 7 years and holy crap is this awesome. The intro of Savage Lands hits like a truck.

“Can confirm this is not a slog.”
well theres a caveat there; if you think that the matieral theyve put out over the last decade or so is good overall then yeah its definitely not a slog.

"Honestly the closer is the only track I'm yet to be convinced with"
Actually I really liked it since on my first listen. There are plenty of slower moments here so it's logical to end the album with something a bit more upbeat than usual.

I'm so glad people are giving this proper recognition as one of the year's best metal albums
This is such an exciting, intricate, and complete release

Yeah it’s kind of screwing with my premature ranking of the year’s best albums.

I didn't know Mastodon were queer icons, but I'll take it. 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈

Almost ready to rate this bad boy. Production makes it tough to judge without throwing it on some speakers that help it not sound like shit, at which point it sounds surprisingly good in parts?
Still a handful of tracks that could/should very easily have been cut (esp. 2, 3, 4 for me get this album off to a limping start) but the album's pretty great.
Brann > Brett > Troy > [brad or smth idk]
vocals = Troy > Brett (with sum high peaks tho) > Brann
These opinions are entirely reactionary and probably wrong, peace

"Is this actually good or is sputnik being gay"
That's gotta be one of the most savage introductions Ive ever seen lol. Didn't know Mastodon were queer now haha
