Waters & Time felt the most "Rivers of Nihil" they've felt to me in a couple years, but I can understand why a significant number of people are so low on the band rn. It does seem like minimum a step down from Owls. I did enjoy that the opening synth felt slightly reminiscent of "Terrestria III: Wither", which I was really into.

Self titled that isn't your first album is also always a particularly shit move, not a big fan of them even as a debut but when you see it as like 3rd album or later it's always a bad sign/feels lazy.

Holy shit, true, I just got to The Last Ten Seconds of Life's sixth album today (big fan of In-Vivo/Ex-Vivo) and that's their self-titled.... With only the original guitarist left. Easily the worst TLTSOL so far

got the promo version of the new record and it is much better and cohesive than this for sure. more death metal, a little more streamlined but surely more focused. the BCI guy also brings some solid cleans and no half-assed experiments. Water and time is the only really mellow track so far.
