i see that this is the most controversial album of the year, guess i'll have to listen to it for myself

wow interesting. this doesn't seem that much worse to me than a lot of her stuff BUT



i kinda get why people may have soured on her given (1) her many 'yikes' moments don't really make her feel like someone i want to go to bat for, (2) while i think she has been consistently good, at some point the sound gets old, and (3) i personally liked NFR but i feel like a lot of folks saw it as another album of the same shtick that inexplicably got a ton of praise



anywho for me it's same old same old, somewhere in the 3-3.5 range with a couple great songs that will be among my faves of the year and the rest that i don't feel the need to revist
