"Micro Cuts" is the second-best on here after "Citizen" and a top 10 Muse song period, tbh

God damn I forgot how good this was. Well, up until Citizen Erased.
This is one of those albums I repeated ad nauseum when I was 16 but assumed it wasn't worth coming back to. But man is it actually good. They weren't the cringe lords I assumed they'd *always* been after I heard their last 3 albums and assumed I had rose-tinted vision of the first 3.

Album rips hard to this day. The single song that i don't quite like is Screenager because it is pretty boring and goes nowhere

My top 6 are somewhat interchangeable, that's my 'cut off' point, although I haven't heard this in a long while.

Agreed, more consistent than this. Used to worship both records, I can see the flaws now but Absolution holds up better as a complete experience for me.

This has actually held up better than Absolution for me, only because Absolution sounds so muddy.

I've never really enjoyed Muse all that much. They are talented and all but I can't stand Matt's voice.
|

"because Absolution sounds so muddy."
Dude I know exactly what you mean. It does have this muddiness to it that makes it sound very congested sounding. Not all the songs, but several. I've actually never heard of this being mentioned until now.
Despite that, it's still my favourite from the band easily.
