...seriously? i mean yeah they're the same tempo but otherwise i am not seeing any real 'rip off'. so many bands use that 'slowly played open chord' type of melody that if you draw that comparison then you'd have to draw comparisons to like, hundreds of other bands. unless you brought it up i'd have never have made the connection, even if i heard each track back to back.

All the songwriting and structures remind me of Kodama, not to mention the tones. It is definitely more like Kodama than any of their previous work; maybe that's what I'm getting caught up on. In any event, I think that's part of why I haven't spent a ton of time with this even though I think it is really good. It doesn't really feel fresh to me like I wish it did.
