title track is one of their best songs for sure. honestly the worst songs here are better than the worst songs on ATP like Charlie’s Army

Hello Exile is a great track - love it. I don't know if I can put this above Rented World, though. The bottom end of RW is worse than this, but dudes the top handful of tracks on that record are ALLTIMERRRZZZZZ. Rodent, Where Your Heartache Exists, In Remsission, I Don't Wanna Be an Asshole Anymore gahhhhh. I like those more than anything here.

I will say this sounds so much better on my cheap little $100 earbuds than it does on my good headphones. Menzingers have never had very good production but it's especially baffling here. it's not even like a stylistic, reverby arena rock sound like The Hold Steady's Teeth Dreams or something like that, it's just like, really messy and the vocals sound like they were recorded underwater

Oh yeah the production on this is SUPER overwrought. Super stylized reverb/delays on the vocals, stadium rock drums that have so much emphasis on the individual drums that the cymbals are practically missing - I do like the guitar & bass and how natural and enveloping they are, usually. Menzies usually do a good job of arranging a backbone of two non-competing rhythm guitars 1 of which is usually playing a nice thick rock chord and the other a jangly little sparkle chord to compliment it with the ability for either to cut in or out for emphasis. This whole genre rides a line of being SUPER overproduced or SUPER underproduced and I think OtIP and AtP are well-produced, the former being a little less glamorous than the latter, as they started leaning a little further into the hyper-punchy drum samples and big soaring multi-vocal choruses.

yep all of that is spot on. they do have a great dynamic between the guitars and the guitars usually sound good. drums are a mixed bag sound-wise but the drummer is pretty solid

Listening to "There's No Place Left in The World For Me" right now.
Doing their best Hot Water Music impression for this one.
Greg's showing off his whole vocal range on this one, musically it's almost alt-country.
Great song.

That sounds awesome. So that’s the single name, not album? I saw a leak of the artwork and it reeeally reminds me of Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen

I'm not sure if it's just the singles name.
The artwork on Spotify might just be for that single, at it has the singtitle on the bottom
