I feel like Lower Empire is the most positive sounding song they've written. Everything else is so goddamn depressing lmao. Kinda gets stale after awhile.

Bro Lower Empire is righteous, riffs so fuckin hard. I get that tho, they're a very depressing feeling band for the most part. I still think the debut is the best album by far

Kinda get the same vibe as like Lost in the Sound of Separation/Disambiguation era Underoath.
Been digging the hell out of Trilogy though.

I personally prefer this, it is much less dreary. Garrett's vocals are massive. Share the Body is a bangerang

“These guys legit have the same vibe in every song”
Forever my hang up with Silent Planet. The raw components of the musicianship, vocals and lyrics are all there, and they make for a great sound, but every fucking song is THAT sound. Every track is a big mid-tempo minor key wall of sound.

Has there been any announcement when they're going to release some new shit?
This album seriously bums me out lol. There are some fun ideas and moments, but they are almost all washed out by these fucking silly, annoying, phoned-in choruses. The clean singing isn't even horrible, the choruses just feel so forced and uninspired. Ugh.

Well they played a new song on the last livestream they did but idk when that's getting released, I know they're working on an album

Hopefully the next one is better lol. They just need to learn how to use the cleans in a way that sounds interesting. These cookie cutter little choruses are just too predictable. It's like they wrote a whole song, listened to it back and said "most metalcore bands have clean choruses, so we need a chorus here and here if we want to fit in" so they just forced them in.

Yea they need to get back to the magic of the debut and sophomore albums

For sure. Trilogy seemed like a step in the right direction. Hopefully they stick with it on the next one lol.

Did anybody watch the last stream that happened a little while ago? They put on a great show. Also, the Sound of Sleep slays.

Randomly recommended the track by track vid on Youtube and I'm actually having more fun listening to Garett speak about the album than the actual album itself lol.
I dunno if I've ever watched an interview with him, but he's pretty interesting. Always knew he was pretty smart based on the lyrical content and shit but I didn't realize how thoughtful and well spoken he is.

I love the depressing feeling of their albums though, its like a whole other layer of heavy that I don't get from a lot of other bands. But I guess I can see how it could wear on someone
