Your opinion on 70's Priest isn't necessarily stupid, but man it's unfortunate you don't see what we see.

Stupidity is subjective now is it? Fucking hell!

I mean it kinda is. The big exception is when it's generally accepted by a large population of people. If millions of people think that something is stupid compared to like 5 or 6 people, then it must be stupid right? Or maybe that large population is just stupid. *shrugs

Sometimes, an unpopular opinion is best kept to oneself.....especially around a pack of coyotes

I identify as a doggo, but being a coyote would be pretty cool. :D

"70's priest: overrated, pychedelic mumbo jumbo."

Yeah there might be a few psychedelic effects but its not like they were nearly as psych as some of the other 70s bands plus its not like their songwritting and guitarwork changed that heavily. I can understand preferring 80s Priest but going to the going to the point of "its overrated totally psychedelic shite" is a bit much and a difficult leap to understand.

^ Ah but i didn't say it was shite. As i said, i rated it according to my tastes and some of it is alright, i mean a 2.5 means average so it's alright. Just not something i want to waste time listening to by my standards but by no means the worst either.

And to be fair, there are only a few 70s bands that i actually like or enjoy. I've said this already but i consider this era in music lacking compared to some other eras.

I'm not saying it as a general truth, though. There are tons of bands and songs i've never heard, obviously ^^

@Titan: Coyotes, eh ? Not very frightening lol.

@StrikeOfTheBeast: Well, to me, an idea is just that, a thought. However, the application of an idea can be considered stupid...for instance if you do shit without thinking of the consequences or they involve risk to your own or other's safety, etc.

For instance, on your Trump example, it's the fact that Trump applied his idea with no consideration for the consequences that is stupid.

But that might come down to my own understanding of the word.

One of the definitions is "given to unintelligent decisions or acts : acting in an unintelligent or careless manner". So to me, it involves actions or decisions that will involve actions.

In the general sense, i think you're right (also, language is used to communicate with each other so we need to adapt to how others are using the same words).

Calling a '70s Priest album average, let alone not worth hearing, is a laughable notion.

Did i say it was average for its era ? Nope. I said it was average. Stop lying to make your point.

I said it was not worth listening, for me. Because i don't like it. Why would i listen to something i don't enjoy ?

Do you have trouble with logic ?

I don't mind feeding you, but please, try harder next time you try to troll.

2 pages earlier:

"Their 70s stuff is, in my opinion (notice the word?), terrible because it's just poor music and based on the era."

Youve really done a truly fuckin awful job at explaining your opinion if you really only think its average. I shouldnt have to look at your ratings when youre trying to get your opinion across in a thread.

70s priest is best priest for me. Also, I swear this is the first time I see someone use the word "psychedelic" to describe their music.

"I swear this is the first time I see someone use the word "psychedelic" to describe their music."

Really ? Their 70s albums were kinda more psychedelic rock than hard rock tbh.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychedelic_rock#Prog,_heavy_metal,_and_krautrock

There's nothing wrong with that, mind you, but i just don't think it's their strong point. They're better doing heavy and speed metal, imo.

I dont see how im bad at comprehension for not realizing that describing something as poor music means you think its average but aight bby you do you.
