It is like a UTOPIA track but with more "traditional" chamber instrumentation. Almost like...VULNICURA meets UTOPIA (?) Very busy, very layered, but somehow still lacking 'oomph', which is precisely how I felt about at least half of UTOPIA. I see people saying it gives of VESPERTINE vibes but I'm not getting that at all aside from people hearing bells and spouting off a knee-jerk comparison.
It's definitely good, and I definitely still prefer it to much of UTOPIA, but 'Atopos' and 'Ovule' had me reared with a level of full-album hype that would be most likely be impossible to sate. This track tempers things a bit, levels my expectations, probably a good thing tbh.

Because it yokes tangible references from things I know you've heard. In Bjork's case, not much else sounds like Bjork aside from other Bjork, so she often gets reflexive comparisons.

Prefer the first two singles (Atopos, Ovule) to the second set (Ancestress, Fossora) but seems like I'm on an island there. Still very promising overall, has me thinking it'll wind up above UTOPIA and BIOPHILIA for me, maybe around VOLTA but not sure if it'll beat MEDULLA.
