"look whose talking"
Hmm, maybe. But maybe not... That single they posted had the rest of the band dialed down to 3 and Einer up to 11. Like I've said, it's pretty. But it sounds like they could be on course to replacing their upfront technicality for some kind of operatic performance.
Who knows? Still awaiting the full album.

After about a half-a-dozen listens, I've decided the new album sounds like gothy disco mixed with musical theater, with occasional Leprous throwbacks... it's going to be an adjustment, but it definitely grows on you.

Not sure if that's as much of a joke as your avatar. Regardless, I'm feeling sluggish.

If you liked their first albums and still enjoyed Malina, I really do think you can find enough to enjoy the new one too. It's a huge change, though. Like Paradise Lost going from Draconian Times to One Second or Ulver going from Nattens Madrigal to Marriage of Heaven and Hell.

I agree that this Einar solo band sound they adopted sometimes feels like a bit of a waste for the talent of the other members, it would be cool to hear the instruments at the forefront more often. But on the other hand my enjoyment of their music hasn‘t decreased one bit, so I can‘t really complain at all.

As long as the other guys are okay with the situation, it‘s all good. Still really excited to hear their new sound.

It'll be quality, I'm sure. It's just that Leprous have been synonymous with technical instrumentation, so it'll be a trip to see what they're like when they muzzle that.
Einar is a great vocalist, but he's hyper-emotional. Their techiness served has the polarity that balanced them out. I'm interested, but doubtful.
