'Permanating' comes so close to breaking into an Abba song...but holds back. There's some genius in holding back from that. Like escaping the universe crushing power of a black hole.
He avoids the Mamma Mia event horizon and lives to fight another day, bravo Wilson.
(I can sing a little bit of Mamma Mia over that piano though...oh, sooo sooo close to disaster).

I think the guitar solo is the moment that he switches back and we know it's still Steven at the helm

One small issue I forgot to mention about this is the placement of Permanating after the heart-wrenching Refuge. It sounds fucking ridiculous.

The first time I listened to this all the way through I thought it worked really well. Then every subsequent time since then it's seemed more and more ridiculous, so I guess agreed haha

I like the structure of this thing. It's definitely cementing itself as a Wilson fave.
