@Emim and @Pika

Now that's more like it

Edit: Bleed It Out kind of lacks and ending and Hands Held High goes kind of nowhere. It's certainly a weird record

Criminally underrated album. Hybrid Theory and Meteora will forever be their best albums, but this is good.

I started here is a discog run leading up to the new album (I've listened to the first two albums to death). I've never liked this album. In fact, I've always regarded it as the death of a great band, but I wanted to listen to it for what it actually is, rather than what I wanted it to be 17 years ago.

I've bumped my rating up 0.5. There's some redeeming features, but it's just so limp sounding, and not in a Bizkit way. When you hear songs like Hands Held High, you realise why Shinoda gets side-lined in several songs if that's his contribution level.

I feel like Guitar Hero World Tour had an impact on my enjoyment of this album. Everytime I played online, there was a 90% chance people would vote to play What I've Done and it's the most boring song to play on that game. It was either What I've Done or that crappy overplayed Tokio Hotel song, ugh.

I quite like What I've Done probably for that same fact! It warmed me (partially) to a song that I really didn't like to start with. It got under my skin but somehow didn't end up overplayed and despised.

I wouldn't mind but it sucked the fun out of guitar hero for me. It was by far the most repetitive track to play on guitar. And then listening to the album felt equally as bland and depressing.

And then you have this new album which feels bland in a completely different way, where it's actually pretty fun to listen to but void of any personality or soul.

Yeah it was definitely only a warm-up song for when you hadn't played in a while!
