Here're mine, loosely ranked
Queens of the Stone Age - Like Clockwork
The National - Trouble
Steven Wilson - Raven
Nick Cave - Push the Sky
Deafheaven - Sunbather
Kayo Dot - Hubardo
Ulver - Messe
Two of my top favorite video games came out that year too, The Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite. GTA V, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Assassin's Creed Black Flag came out then too. I also graduated high school after my easiest semester with tons of free periods. Pretty sweet year overall.

Boney you should try Kayo Dot and Ulver, expand your tastes beyond indiecore a bit. You should also jam Like Clockwork if you haven't yet.

Yeah that really was an amazing year, the top 3 from that year (outlined above) are the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th best of the whole decade for me.

This are both country so I'm not surprised
That Isbell album is pretty widely accepted as a modern classic among country fans at this point, Phosphorecsnt is a bit more of a personal favorite though that album got very good reviews across the board too (8.8 on Pitchfork iirc, etc)

Fwiw Phosphorescent has a lot of indie appeal, that album while country at the core has elements of chamber pop, electronic, and psychedelia throughout.

I wasn’t trying to knock country music, it just usually isn’t my thing but that album sounds sweet.
