A 2.5 isn't even that bad, especially considering how hard he panned this album in his review

"Best Gorillaz is obviously s/t.

DD is overrated. I like gloomy, but it's just too gloomy sometimes."

completely agreed, on both points

don't see how anyone other than casual fans could disagree, tbh

just so much more to explore on the self-titled, definitely more "sonic depth"

all the records so far have been good-to-great tho

going back and forth from demon days to humanz though, all the instrument just sound so much louder and clearer on demon days

the instrumentation on this pretty much across the board sounds like it has a big gap in the middle for me

This is really unfocused and whatever. The Grace jones appearance is cool tho. I dunno.

The first and last great song really, a few more good ones but 'all alone', 'white light' and the three closing tacks are garbage

This album is a unfocused bag of lackluster songs. If I ever listen to Momentz or We Got The Power again I might even bump it down.

Honestly I'm thinking of dumping it down, there's just so little here worth listening too.

Normally the rating I would give to it after my second listen should have been a 1.5 as it was average and mundane at best, awfully obnoxious at worst (how can people even bear Saturnz Barz is beyond me). The reason why I gave it a 2 is because I know the concept is not for me; rap/R&B/funk music isn't exactly my usual jam.

But on the other hand, I'm almost sure that this is indeed very bad.

Yeah I'm not really into rap or R&B, but Demon Day's is one of my favourite albums ever, and this is just so painfully bad and hard to listen too.

It's just an out and out great pop album with some class tunes. Strobelite is quality.

literally factually the worst opinion you've ever had, in a long line of awful opinions
