i must be dumb i don't see the merit behind such vivid and intelligent lyricism as "i'd be happy as hell if you stayed for tea"

"Two of my favorite films are Tree of Life and 2001: A Space Odyssey and they are pretentious af"

I almost threw up after reading this. 2001 is certainly not pretentious, you're probably just really stupid. Kubrick has a meaning for literally everything he does, down to every detail, but he often will not give this information to the audience, this is done to create illicit an emotional response from the audience. Like when you watch 2001 you're supposed to just take it in and feel some shit and not really know what's happening exactly but goddamn that's not fucking pretentious why am I wasting my time writing this

@Trebor The first ten minutes of the movie are literally a black screen with sound.

It's pretentious, but who the fuck cares, it's an amazing movie. Idk why you're calling me stupid and getting all triggered.

21 and 8 are amazing, but i'm not quite sure about the whole album, 10, 715 and 45 especially suck . Album strikes me like "imma gotta cover some bad and lazy songwriting with random noises and production tricks".

It has its moments tho.

I can appreciate what Justin tried to do with this album, I really do, but I see the malevolous hand of Kanye West staining what could have been a better album if Justin had decided to tell his bandmates to play instruments instead of synths.

I saw him with The Staves last year and it was amazing. This, I can't process it, it's just too much.
