I'm going through the Acts right now and so far I like them. I've listened to 1-3 and I like 1 the best I think. Seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I've not spent enough time with them to say for sure how much I like each album. My ratings and thoughts will change as I spend more time with them, I'm sure.

Do you all think these albums get better with each listen? My initial impression of Act 2 is that it's interesting, but something about the production is off.

They always seem to get better with repeat listens for me, yeah.

TDH is like a classic grower. Ive been slowly listening through the acts since march till today to dare to say something about them and not sound like an ignorant.

My advice for albums that require a lot of relistens? While doing stuff on pc (browsing facebok, reading forums, playing games etc) just put it in the background, looped. Thoughts are slowly forming, you're starting to notice your favourite moments. Then once you're familiar with it sit down and just play the album.

idk Act V grabbed me pretty immediately, IV took some time except for a few instant hits like Waves and Night on the Town, and acts I and II have failed to grab me. different strokes I guess

I swear to god, if I don't pay attention to lyrics in Remembered I feel like in some fantasy world

Okey, the time has come to take break from the Acts. Ive been listening to this particular album (mostly) throughout past few feeks. I think it's time to take break.

The Contortionist are next on the list.

From December 2014 - August 2015 I almost exclusively listened to TDH. I'm not sure I listened to even 5 albums worth of material from other artists during that 9 month block. Insane. One of the greatest bands ever

The Old Haunt has one of my favorite choruses of all time and it's not even the best part of the song. this band is too good

The Old Haunt is arguably my favorite usage of that time signature ever.

Old Haunt is great, but Wait is my fav song from this album. I want to sound more like Casey when I'm singing, really. He's a perfect example how to sound great and original even with some average timbre.
